A Puerto Rico pharmacy made prescription labels glow so seniors can find their pills.
Farmacias Plaza added an FDA-compliant phosphorescent label so seniors could identify their medicines in the dark, becoming Puerto Rico's most trusted pharmacy.
Farmacias Plaza
那一手
Older patients in Puerto Rico often take medicines at night and in dim light, where reading a label is hard, so mistakes and anxiety are common.
Farmacias Plaza's answer was a product, not a message: an FDA-compliant phosphorescent prescription label, so a bottle glows in the dark and the name, dose and instructions can be read.
The innovation makes the pharmacy's promise concrete at the exact moment care is needed - a patient reaching for a medicine at 3 a.m. - rather than in a slogan.
Roughly 200,000 labels were dispensed in the first two weeks, and the campaign earned over 200 million earned-media impressions; Farmacias Plaza strengthened its position as Puerto Rico's most trusted pharmacy for seniors.
为什么管用
- The problem is a physical moment at night, so the fix has to be physical.
- A glow is something you can see working, which no claim can match.
- It reaches the patient and carer in the dark, where mistakes actually happen.
可以搬走什么
Care is bought by what a customer can see and feel at the moment of need; a small product fix can be a stronger trust signal than any 'we care' advertising.
后来呢
The label earned the pharmacy broad recognition, including a One Show placement and a Fast Company World-Changing Idea, and was framed as a way for a retail pharmacy to win trust against national chains by making care visible rather than merely promised.
