Luxury marketing often fights for persistent visibility. D&AD describes China's market as logo-saturated, a difficult setting for Bottega Veneta's quieter brand code.

The Everlasting Logo turned that tension into a spatial mechanism. The brand printed 20,000 copies of Yu Xiuhua's poetry, arranged them as the Bottega Veneta logo, and let visitors remove the books one by one.

The more people participated, the less logo remained. That inverted normal branding logic: the installation created meaning through absence, aligning the campaign with quiet luxury rather than repeating it as a slogan.

Absence can be the logo

The audience's action, not the brand's media spend, completed the idea.

The disappearing mark made restraint measurable and visible.

Poetry gave the takeaway independent cultural value.

The mechanic made brand loss feel like proof of brand strength.

When a brand promise is restraint, the strongest proof may be to surrender visibility and let participation consume the symbol.

D&AD awarded the work a 2026 Graphite Pencil in Luxury. Creative Salon reported that LePub Milan won a 2025 Cannes Luxury Lions Bronze for The Everlasting Logo for Bottega Veneta.
